Spanking Storybook

Did you see my review of An Unfair Fare yesterday? I’m so excited to tell you that there is a sequel. Purple Heart let me know, and I read through the story last night. If you didn’t fall in love with Joe during the first story, I’m sure you will reading Taking a Stand. I sure did.

Like I said last night, Purple Heart knows how to spin a story. Her writing is excellent, and she creates characters you care about it. She understands and obviously identifies with the dynamics of spanking. This story, like An Unfair Fare, is a discipline spanking story. Corinne and Jack are now a couple, but not living together yet. Corinne finds herself in love with a man that believes she should accept discipline from him. When she actually has to accept his discipline, she battles with the reality of it. Purple Heart is working on a third story for Jack and Corinne, and I can’t wait to read it. I’m enjoying watching their story unfold.

If you enjoy loving discipline spanking stories, Taking A Stand is one not to miss. The story does stand on it’s own, but I still recommend you read An Unfair Fare first.

Purple Angel has a wonderful spanking blog called Spankful Delight.  She writes both poetry and stories, and her blog features some of the best spanking artwork available on the internet.  I first read An Unfair Fare on a spanking message board, but was pleased to find it on her own blog so I can link to her.

The first thing I noticed when reading this story is the high quality of the writing.  She is an excellent writer, and pulls the reader in from the very beginning.  I love how she gave a little background for both characters before getting into the story.  The story is unique in providing  the viewpoints of both characters.  First, you hear “Joe’s Tale” and then you hear “Corinne’s Tale.”  Finally, you come to the ending, that happens to be an excellent example of how a great spanking story should end.

I found it interesting that during Joe’s story, I decided I wasn’t going to like Corinne.  Yet, as the story progresses, I began to relate to Corinne, and actually changed my opinion of her.  I mean really, have you ever read a story that you decide the heroine just isn’t good enough for the hero?  Then, you warm to the heroine’s character and suddenly you are rooting for her.  You won’t be disappointed in this story.  It has a happily ever after ending.  In fact, so much so that I’m hoping Purple Angel does a sequel.

Don’t miss this story! It has something for everyone – the brat, the Dom, the spanking and the happy ending.

I tend to blog hop.  That’s sort of like web surf, but on blogs. Ok, I made it up, but really that’s what I do.  I see a blog I like and then I not only check the blogroll for similar blogs, but I check the blog comments.  I actually find reading blog comments to be the best way to find new blogs.  That’s how I found Thomas’s Spanking Exploits.  I blog hopped from Nattie’s blog.  I could only find a few stories on Thomas’s blog, but one I really like is  Dark Awaiting.

Thomas wrote this story in the first person. That alone makes it an interesting story, because stories from a Top/Dom’s point of view are somewhat rare.  When you read this story, you’ll also notice that it has a definitely spanking, D/s tone, but very romantic as well.  Here’s an example…

“I take her firmly but gently by her arm and guide her across my waiting lap. There is no resistance, nor is there fear. This is our understanding, our trust. What will come is to be to our mutual benefit and pleasure.”

Nice, huh?  This story left me wanting more.  This is a beautiful scene between two lovers.  Thomas not only lets us see the physical part of the scene, but the emotional as well.  It also helps that I watched a spanking video on Thomas’s site and can tell he knows spanking.  Now before you all run off to see that video, I also wanted to mention another story on his site.  This is a short story, but wow is it a nightmare.  No really, a nightmare for any brat.  If you’re feeling brave, read Fair and Just Punishment.

Little Miss Testing Tease   is a free spanking story written by Nattie Jones on StoryNattie.  Nattie is known for her romantic spanking fiction, and has stories available as ebooks and on subscription spanking story sites.  However, her NattieStory blog does offer a couple of free spanking stories.  Since I only had a few minutes tonight, I chose the shorter story, Little Miss Testing Tease.

This is a delightfully fun spanking story and is a very quick read.  I loved the playfulness of both characters and the honesty of the woman as she teasingly encourages her “Mister” to give her a spanking for the first time.  The mood is entirely playful, but there is no doubt she isn’t just looking for a playful spanking.  She wants him to give her a spanking that shows his authority.  When he asks why she wants a spanking, this is her response.

“Because you, mister,” she poked a finger in the middle of his chest, “make me feel all safe, cozy, and shivery inside when you get all manly and authoritative on me.” This time her shy giggle was honestly shy. 

For a rather short story, the couple runs through all the emotions of taking a first step towards adding spanking to their relationship.  I could totally relate to the woman’s relief when her man didn’t think she was crazy to ask for a spanking.  Again, her honesty when he tells her that spankings hurt and then questions if she should cry.

“I think,” she took a deep breath, “I’d like that.”

“Why?” he asked with surprise.

“Don’t know.” She wiggled her bottom uncomfortably.

I think a lot of us can relate to that.  I still don’t know why myself.  I just know it is, and no longer need a reason why.  You aren’t going to find a lot of character development in this story.  In fact, the characters aren’t even given names, but in a short scene, you will find a light, fun look into a first spanking.  It definitely left me wanting more.

One More Year can be found on the Erotic Readers and Writers Association website.  The site has a story gallery with lots of short erotic stories.  Most of these stories are not about spanking.  They are erotic fiction and may have some bdsm as well.

J.Z. Sharpe is the author of One More Year.  I was doing a little research on erotic fiction as a possibility for another website when I found the Erotic Readers and Writers Association site.  I hadn’t expected to find a spanking story in their Story Gallery.  There may in fact be more free spanking stories in the gallery, but this was the only one I found after reading several stories.  The Story Gallery appears to be featured stories, but the Treasure Chest has archives of stories divided into chapters, like erotic fiction, queer fiction, kinky fiction and the softer side.  My guess is we would be most likely to find more spanking stories in the kinky fiction section.

One More Year is a short story in the tradition of school girl spankings.  It has an interesting twist as the woman is no longer a school girl.  The story is told in the first person as Lisette returns to her alma mater to meet with her former English professor.  This is a strict spanking involving hand, paddle and cane.  It isn’t a romantic story at all, but one that shows how the need for discipline doesn’t end when a girl leaves college.
